Talon XP TalonXP owner from EAA's Sport Pilot Magazine Atlanta, Georgia, USA
I love my airplane. She has a name, and we have developed a true affinity.
I treat her well, and she takes me on nice tranquil flights to magic places.
Like any tail dragger, she demands respect, but she is pretty forgiving
when I’m too dumb to do a good job with the rudder pedals. Her controls
are light and easy, and yet she will go where you tell her to go… right now… She was a delight to build,
and every piece that went together made me more anxious to make that first
flight. If you are still building, or are just thinking about starting a
Talon, this airplane is the stuff that real flying is about. You will never
duplicate the thrill of an open cockpit in an enclosed airplane, nor will
you experience a more complete panoramic view in any other aircraft configuration.
Out in front of the wing you see everything, and the pusher configuration
keeps the noise and prop blast behind you.
Blue skies and light breezes. Jim LaNier |

From:
John Bellerby TalonXP owner Talon Magnum owner Gresham, Oregon, USA What can I say, I love
my Sport Flight Talon! I built my first Talon in 1993, learned to fly in
it, and have been flying Talons ever since. This airplane has fantastic handling
(in the air and on the ground), and rugged construction. These qualities
make take-offs and landings on short rough fields, gravel bars, or beaches
no problem. Also, the large cargo capacity of the Talon makes it a great
cross-country and camping airplane.
Building a Talon kit is not difficult. Yet the finished product makes you feel and look like an expert. The result is an airplane that is great to look at and great to fly. I highly recommend the experience! Any questions, feel free to give me a call. John Bellerby |
